Staff Counselor - 10 Month Appointment

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) is seeking mental health professionals to join Cougar Care as Staff Counselors. These 10-month positions are an excellent opportunity for clinicians who are passionate about working with college students and want to grow professionally within a collaborative, integrated behavioral health team. Staff Counselors provide mental health assessment, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, case coordination, consultation, and referrals while collaborating across Counseling Services, Health Services, Health Promotion, and the broader university community to support student well-being and academic success. Candidates must have a master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology, Art Therapy Counseling, or an equivalent field from an accredited graduate program and must be eligible for professional licensure in the State of Illinois (e.g., LSW, LPC, Licensed Psychologist); independent clinical licensure is preferred but not required.
