The SPU Student Counseling Center is seeking to bring on a part-time counselor whose work will support and serve male students at SPU, especially those who identify as traditionally underrepresented students.
This counselor would join a diverse, and experienced, clinical team who share a collaborative and communal culture. The Student Counseling Center is committed to expanding our work surrounding diversity, equity and inclusion. We strive to offer a safe and healing space for all students, and we are actively improving our ability to do so for students who have been marginalized. The individual whom we are looking to add to the team would share and enhance our vision.
As a training site for many graduate schools in the area, our desired candidate would serve as a role model to trainee’s and would have the future opportunity to become a clinical supervisor. The counselor we are seeking would be confident contributing their experiences and perspectives, as well as, receptive and growth-minded. Professional development at every level is an ongoing part of our work.
This half-time position would have a flexible schedule and could be fit within the traditional 9:00am-5:00pm business week or include an evening or Saturday morning to make it work with the counselor’s other involvements.
