The person chosen for this position will help increase student retention, promote campus safety, and encourage student development and progress to graduation through developmental counseling. Major duties and responsibilities are: provide individual and group counseling for 
students with emotional or personal problems or conditions. Perform assessments with students referred by faculty, staff, parents or other students, to determine if they are a danger to themselves or others or 
unable to care for themselves; work with counseling staff and administrators to help manage situations where students are in an emotional or behavioral crisis that puts them or others at risk. On-call, after hours emergency work is required as needed by the department. This position also provides outreach to students via tabling, classroom presentations, and faculty/staff presentations as needed.

Provide individual and group counseling for students with emotional or personal problems or conditions. Specialty focus to be determined with Counseling Center Leadership.
Perform and interpret assessments with student clients and students referred by faculty, staff, parents or other students, to determine if they are a danger to themselves or others. Maintain notes, records and other documentation appropriate to the Counseling Center's record system. 

Develop and lead structured groups, workshops, presentations and othercounseling services as part of the counseling outreach programs. Other duties assigned.
