Widener University is currently seeking a Staff Therapist to join the office of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). This is a 10-month clinical role and serves as an integral part of the counseling inter-disciplinary mental health team providing direct routine and emergency mental health care to students in addition to consultation, outreach, and support to the university community. The main responsibility of this position includes direct clinical service to students by way of individual mental health services, consultation and collaboration across the university campus.
The position reports to the Executive Director of CAPS and falls under the division of student engagement and transformation. The office of CAPS applies a holistic approach to help students achieve greater self-awareness and self-regulation, improve relationships, and attain independence as they progress toward successful degree completion. CAPS staff work closely across campus with multiple departments to support student health and well-being.
