Associate Director, Counseling and Psychological Services

Under the direction of the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) Director and in collaboration with CAPS Management team, directs the provision of psychological services, including crisis consultation services, initial consultation, individual and group counseling, oversees program planning and resource allocation for psychological services; participates and may coordinate activities of the Quality Assurance program. Provide consultation to CAPS staff to coordinate campus mental health services. Provide counseling, assessment, crisis intervention, and outreach services to students, and consultation and outreach to faculty and staff regarding issues affecting student's wellbeing and academic success. Address both general and focused interest areas relating to developmental, behavioral, and multicultural mental health needs unique to the college population and the academic environment. As a member of an integrated health care team, consult with medial and other health care providers on psychological factors affecting student's health status as needed.
